Week 5: Sejahtera as Local Concept of Sustainable Development
In week 5, Prof Suhaimi conducted the class online, and we were taught about the topic of Madani. Madani is a policy framework and government slogan introduced by the administration of the 10th Prime Minister. In this class, we learned that there are a lot of things that the government has done for the people, such as the Madani Clinic. Moreover, the goal of the Madani is to create a community that is “Sejahtera” and in harmony in every sector.
After we have done consulting about our topic, we continue to learn about the idea of “Sejahtera” and some of the reminders from the Tawhid perspectives. We learned that “sejahtera” society is a society that is free from difficulties, free from harassment, and at peace. Last but not least, from the Tawhid perspective, we believe in comfort and harmony, as well as in gaining spiritual strength and having good leadership, as human beings are given the “amanah” to be good role models in this world.
All in all, I enjoyed learning this week's topic as it gives us valuable insight into our country and how we should appreciate the country and look at it from an Islamic perspective.

Great information for us to gain our knowledge about our country!
